Youth News

We are hoping to start 'The Bridge' for young folk aged 16 to 23 on a once a month basis - to get together and have a blether, over a meal perhaps, and share and explore faith and discuss things that matter to you as young folk in 21st C.

We appreciate some of you are studying for exams, at college or university, work and can't always commit to coming along to church on a Sunday morning. So we would like to offer church in a different format and setting to you.

If you are interested, please get in touch with either Nanda (minister@west-kirk-polbeth-harwood.co.uk) or Alison (AQuilter@churchofscotland.org.uk) and we can take it from there.

The Bridge - let's stay connected!

Bible Class is held on the first Sunday of the month and is open to young people of High School age.

Like Sunday Club and JAM Club, it offers a fun but age relevant means of exploring the Bible and attendees come along to West Kirk church service at 9.45am then leave after the Kids' talk to continue their own discussions.

Dates for first half of 2022:

Sunday 6th February

Sunday 6th March

Sunday 3rd April

Sunday 1st May

Sunday 5th June

Our Youth Group meets on the last Friday of the month 7.00pm until 9.00pm.

This is an opportunity for High School pupils to socialise; chat to friends and make new friends; try new things; and generally have fun together - and absolutely no lessons!

One month we do something fun in the West Kirk Hall and alternate months we have an evening out. Our activities include cooking, games, meals, learning new skills, movie nights, ten pin bowling.

The meetings held in the church hall are free, whilst evenings out are paid for by members and transport to and from the venue arranged by parents or carers.

The February meeting - on Friday 25th - is a movie night in the church hall where friends are welcome along.

Teen Time is a group specially for young people from primary 7 upwards who meet in the church hall at West Kirk on one Sunday a month at 6.30pm.

This is a great time to meet up together sharing faith with the emphasis on fun and friendship. These evenings are full of fun, games, challenges food crafts and so much more., so please feel free to come along and join in.

Dates for 2022 are:

Sunday 13th March

Sunday 24th April

Sunday 8th May
