Only 72 days to go .........

The big count down is under way to an action packed week for primary school age children this summer in Polbeth Harwood Church!

During the week, planned workshops will provide the children with the opportunity to explore exciting bible stories through creative media, messy challenges, whacky games and colourful crafts.  Singing, aerobics, jokes the list goes on and on.....a must this summer!

Our daily drama introduces the children to a variety of characters such as; Malcolm Muddle the producer, Petula Plie a feisty French dance teacher and Lisa Lipstick the cosmetic technician! ….will they manage to save the failing theatre??  The daily drama is  a favorite part of the day for the children, It connects to the daily theme, providing comedy and laughs for all.

Numbers are limited so, to avoid disappointment please ensure you register your child soon!

Registration forms are available from 2 June in both Churches or in West Calder Library.

Each day from 10am we have an exciting two and a half hour, fun packed programme of games, song, dance, craft, and drama and Bible stories to share with the children in our villages.

The theme is in the name “SHOWSTOPPERS” theatrical, music dance drama and art connecting to God’s great plan for his world – from creation and fall to redemption through the death and resurrection of Jesus.

Our week will end with a Grand Finale on the evening of Friday 9th, where friends and family will be invited along to see what the children have been doing throughout the week and the transformation of the church, ending with a cuppa and a cake!

This is the first of its kind in West Calder & Polbeth, our directors are auditioning the stars who will fulfil a fun packed week ensuring all safeguarding checks are fulfilled!

Please remember us in your prayers, as an exciting adventure awaits!

We meet in the church on Sunday mornings at 9.45am during school term time. Most children sit in the front of the church on arrival. We join the congregation for the first part of the service then head out to the hall after the children’s address and hymn. There we have great fun exploring bible stories, crafts, games, music & musical instruments, dvd’s and  much more.

Sunday Club is led by Lorna, Alison, Aileen, Mhairi and Ruth

A warm welcome awaits all children and their friends to our Sunday Club.smiley
