Once again there will be an early morning ecumenical service in the old kirk yard, West Calder when members and friends from our churches along with those of Limefield United Free Church and Our Lady & St Bridget's RC Church will meet to celebrate Easter. The outdoor service will be jointly conducted by Rev Dr Andre Groenewald, Rev Colin Macaulay and Fr Galbraith.
Following this service on 31st March fellowship will continue with the sharing of breakfast in the halls of Limefield Church.
At the special congregational meeting on 10th March, West Kirk voted unanimously to change to the constitution from 'Quoad Omnia' to 'Quoad Sacra' meaning that a Congregational Board would be involved in the administration of temporal business of the congregation.
This decision will now be relayed to West Lothian Presbytery and thereafter to a body called The Delegation of Assembly who have powers to issue the new constitution.
Mothering Sunday. this year is on Sunday 10 March.
It may be a special day for Mothers but the kids of the Sunday Club at West Kirk will be handing out special treats to everyone!
Tomorrow at Sunday Club our local Police are coming along to talk to the children.
This will be a fun morning followed by cakes and juice.
Our minister this Sunday is Gordon Jamieson.
All friends old and new will be made most welcome.

Cadbury Creme eggs will be widely available on Easter Sunday.
Easter this year will be on Sunday 31 March 2013.

Sunday Club starts back tomorrow, we meet in the church at 9.45 am then head out to the church hall after the children's hymn.
A very warm welcome awaits all children from 3 years old to P7, and we have a creché every week for little tots!
