The Great Glen Green Welly Garden Show
OUR AIM: understanding God’s big plan for his beautiful world… including you!
At our holiday club, we discover the perfect world God created and how our relationship with him and the world became irreversibly damaged. Despite attempts to rectify this, we discover that Jesus is the only One who brings hope and can restore it. We conclude by celebrating the future hope he offers.
The Great Glen Green Welly Garden Show is written as an environmentally clean holiday club. We are called to be good stewards of God’s creation, caring for our environment which has been beautifully created, not only for people but for all other forms of life that inhabit our planet.
The intricacies of our environment’s biodiversity are well known, and we each have a role to ensure our lifestyles are as ecologically and environmentally friendly as possible.
Our daily programme will include and not be limited to: singing, arts and crafts with recycling in mind, fun daily allotment warm up, bible exploration, messy challenges, outdoor games, a light snack and refreshment drink, and working as a team
The club is open to children who are age to start primary school in August 2023, up to children who are age to go into 1st year at high school in August.
The club is free for all children so no one is excluded due to cost, and children must be dropped off and collected from the club by an adult.
All our leaders and adult helpers have taken part in Safeguarding training and disclosure check, ensuring we provide a safe church for all.
Club Information
Our holiday club this summer has an exciting theatrical theme, from the stage to the cinema, slapstick fun, music, Rock stars, and dance covering all the performing arts you can imagine. We have a really exciting program planned for our club to suit every taste. The day for our guests starts at 10am when the kids join us at registration then the show begins!
Everything we do throughout the morning is linked to the performing arts and our Bible Story of the day! Which is shared in a fun and friendly way! We have crafts, games, warm up choreography, and a daily drama. All our guests will have their own dressing room "Themed Group" with their own theme tune too, and by the end of the week will have changed our Church in Polbeth into the most exciting Theatre, Polbeth has ever seen!
The club is free, it is open to any child who is age to start primary school this August 2022 and any child who is currently in P7 and starting high school after the summer. We have a wonderful team of dedicated volunteers who have all been PVG checked and have great skills for making this a memorable week for your child!
You can pick up a registration form in: Polbeth Harwood Church, The West Kirk Church or hall and Parkhead Primary school from the office from Wednesday 15 June 2022.
Your completed form can be returned to our post box in these locations.
Once we uplift your child's form, a confirmation email or text will then be sent to you confirming your child's place. (please note this can take up to a week)
Children must be dropped off and collected by an adult and their day starts at 10am and ends at 12:30pm
Our registration form is attached for you to print off or complete.
If you need more information or wish to email the completed form you can contact Lorna at: Showstoppers Holiday Club
The club fills very quickly, so to avoid disappointment book as soon as possible.
We also ask, should circumstances change after you have booked a place and our child cannot attend, please let us know so we can then offer that place to a child on our waiting list.
